Checks

We verify who you are

A person reads your application. We confirm your identity against the documents you upload and, for business accounts, check the ownership structure. If something does not match we telephone you rather than sending a rejection code. Most applications clear the same working day.

Opened

Your account is opened

You receive your sort code, account number and IBAN in writing, together with the terms that apply to the account. Your debit card is posted separately and your banker calls before it arrives.

We will never ask for your password or a clearance code by telephone or email, at any point in this process or afterwards.
