Strictly necessary
These cannot be switched off without breaking the site.
- Session cookie — keeps you signed in as you move between pages
- CSRF token — stops a third-party site submitting a form as you
- Language choice — remembers the language you picked
- Visitor identifier — correlates page views for security monitoring, deleted after 30 days
- Captcha cookies — set by Cloudflare Turnstile and Google reCAPTCHA to tell people from bots
Functional
These improve the experience but are not required.
- Theme preference — remembers whether you chose the dark or light dashboard
- Remember me — pre-fills your username on the sign-in page if you asked us to
Third-party cookies
Google Translate sets cookies when you choose a language other than English. Cloudflare Turnstile and Google reCAPTCHA set cookies as part of their bot checks. Our live chat sets a cookie so a conversation survives a page reload.
We do not run advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not sell audience data.
Managing cookies
Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies in its settings. Blocking the strictly necessary ones will stop you signing in and will stop our forms accepting a submission.
