International Payments

International Payments

Send money abroad, with the rate and the fee stated before you confirm.

Overview

Egnatia settles internationally over SWIFT. You see the amount, the fee and the rate on one screen, and the payment advances through staged clearance so that a large transfer is never one click away from leaving the account.

Eligibility at a glance

  • Available on current, premier, private and business accounts
  • Beneficiary details must be verified before the first payment to a new payee
  • Daily limits apply and can be adjusted by your banker

What you get

The detail that matters.

Rate quoted up front

The rate you see when you confirm is the rate applied. No adjustment afterwards.

Staged clearance

International payments advance through the clearance codes we issue, each one confirming a stage of the settlement.

Full remittance details

IBAN, SWIFT/BIC, intermediary bank and reference all captured before the payment is built.

Tracked to arrival

Reference held against the transaction so we can trace it if the beneficiary bank queries anything.

Questions

Answers before you ask.

What does an international transfer cost?
A flat fee per payment, shown on the transfer screen before you confirm. Domestic transfers are free.
How long does it take?
Most SWIFT payments arrive within one to three working days, depending on the receiving bank and any intermediary.
Why do I need clearance codes?
They confirm each stage of settlement. It means a stolen password on its own cannot move money out of your account.
